About the New York
The New York Cafe and Hotel was founded in 1927 by Gus Grevis, an immigrant from the tiny island of Tenedos, Greece. Gus and family operated the New York for 30 years before selling and moving to Toledo, Ohio.
Since the Grevis family the New York has changed hands several times but one thing has always remained the same: it remains a place for locals and visitors alike to congregate and get great food at a reasonable price. Our mission is to not only feed people but to create a safe, comfortable place where people from all walks of life can meet.

Welcome to The New York Restaurant, the oldest restaurant in Copperhill, Tennessee. Stop by for a delicious meal and stay for the warm, friendly staff and down-home atmosphere.
Like the phoenix, the New York was resurrected in 2011 by new owners Stephen & Shawn Bradley. After an extensive two month overhaul the restaurant was re-opened on September 19, serving old favorites like a hearty country breakfast and awesome burgers, as well as new cuisines like David's (already) famous Chop Salad, Italian Sausage Hoagies and authentic New York Reuben sandwiches. We use the freshest ingredients, buying local when we can, to create simple meals that taste better than they should.
We hope you stop by soon to visit us and have a dining experience that you will remember.
